Just to let you know we had a lovely holiday in Mallorca, although as in Marrakesh, we were rained on again! However, this did not spoil our holiday as I had gone prepared with my brolly. The plane was 45 mins late leaving Gerona due to fog at Palma, but as it is such a short flight it wasn't too bad. The car hire representative was there to meet us and take us to our car. Hubbie was most impressed as it was the new model Seat Ibiza.
One thing I would like to say, is that you do not mention in your information about the hotel in Lloseta, that there is the railway station a few minutes walk down the road. We decided to let the train take the strain and go to Palma instead of using the car. The price of the return journey was a staggering 6 euro 20 cents for both of us, a lot less than we would have had to pay in car park charges, also saving us the hassle of driving in a busy town. The journey takes roughly 30 mins and there are two trains per hour.
The food in the hotel was very good. We had a paella one night, and it was the best we have had. Living in Spain we eat them quite often and this one was more of the meat and fish and less of the rice. Here we sometimes have more rice than anything else. So all in all, a very good holiday, thank you. The room was very good too, it was good to be able to watch BBC and ITV, normally we are only able to get BBC world news, CNN, or Euronews in Spanish hotels. Also appreciated was the tea and coffee making facilities, again, something not usually available in Spanish hotels.
We look forward to our next holiday, which we hope will not be in the too distant future.
