A charming little hotel in Mallorca

The Mirabó de Valldemossa is the result of the careful restoration of a 16th century finca, resulting in the creation of this small, luxurious hotel tucked away in the folds of the mountains near the village of Valldemossa. The house has been in the same family for over a hundred years and their restoration has been wonderfully sympathetic to the character of the building, yet with an emphasis on comfort and elegant design.

Located deep in the Sierra Tramuntana mountains, the hotel has splendid views across the valley to the famous village of Valldemossa. It has been described as one of the most beautiful panoramas on the island of Mallorca. This is a perfect position for any sort of holiday, just 15 minutes from Palma, a short drive from the rugged western coastline and surrounded by mountains. The silence is generally only interrupted by the occasional bird or animal.

Mirabó de Valldemossa has a choice of standard rooms, superior rooms, one suite and one superior suite, each one distinctively different and equipped with all the comforts that are considered essential by the modern traveller: satellite TV, DVD player, hydromassage baths (in the superior rooms), DSL internet access, air conditioning, etc.

There are two swimming pools, including a lovely infinity pool, where guests can relax in complete peace. For those with more energy to spare, there are numerous mountain paths amongst the woods of evergreen oak and pine, and the hotel has over 1000 ancient olive trees within its own 100 acres of mountain and grounds. To venture even further on foot, the hotel is an excellent starting point for many hikes through the Tramuntana mountains, and guided walks are available. There are also many other activities nearby: 6 different 18-hole golf courses, horse-riding, sailing, canoeing, fishing.

This is a lovely hotel of charming informality where you can discover the cooler, greener, more mountainous side of Mallorca.

Restaurant:

The restaurant is in the old "tafona", the olive-crushing mill. This is the setting in which to enjoy simple Mallorcan meals, free of pretensions, yet of an incomparable freshness and quality.

Cancellations:

Cancellation must be received in writing (fax or e-mail) no later than 60 days before arrival. Cancellations between 31 and 60 days will be charged 12.5%. Cancellations between 15 and 30 days will be charged 25%. Cancellations between 48 hours and 14 days will be charged 50%. Cancellations at less than 48 hours and no shows will be charged 100%.
