Hotel Ca'l Lloro is one of the fine old buildings at the centre of Pollensa, occupying an enviable position on the edge of the main square. This is the historic centre of Pollensa; elegant, full of life, yet quite peaceful as it is a pedestrian area.

The hotel has been tastefully refurbished with a harmonious blend of old and new. The interiors are decorated with original works of art, some of which are available for purchase.

There are just eight double bedrooms, decorated in a clean fresh style given a mellow touch by the pieces of antique furniture. Facilities abound, from television to internet, safe to air-conditioning, and comfort is assured by the Climalit windows that isolate the room from the power of the sun or outside voices. Each room is named after one of the illustrious personages who has visited the hotel.

Staying in the centre of town doesn't prevent guests from enjoying a spot of sun: on the roof is an ample terrace with magnificent views over the rooftops to the nearby mountains. Down below there is a lovely bar-cafeteria that is popular with visitors and locals alike, plus a large outside terrace for enjoying a drink or a tapa and taking in the atmosphere of Pollensa. There is a good restaurant, and a lounge for those who want to take it easy for a while. Disabled access is good, with a lift and ramps in the appropriate places.

Pollensa is a very attractive town, and very well placed for a holiday on Mallorca. The mountains are just up the road, the sea is just down the road, and every part of the island is within easy reach.

The first floor restaurant has great views over the Plaza Mayor and the hotel's terrace. The menu is Mediterranean and international, accompanied by an excellent wine list.
