A small apartment hotel in Mallorca

The little hotel Finca Son Jorbo has sat on its hillside site since the 17th century, during which time it has of course seen many changes, the most recent being the conversion to a hotel with four apartments. What has not changed in all that time is the view over the countryside, local towns and the mountains beyond.

Centrally placed between the island capital Palma and the lovely marinas and calas of the east coast such as Cala D'Or, it is in an ideal position to explore the many delights that Mallorca has to offer. Most notable perhaps, just a 20 minute drive away, is the famous unspoilt beach at Es Trenc.

Offering stylish and relaxed surroundings, the hotel is divided into apartments. Each apartment has been individually designed, blending the rustic charms of a traditional Mallorcan finca with the essential comforts of contemporary living. The apartments have a sitting room, 1 or 2 bedrooms, bathroom, fully equipped kitchen and a private terrace. Rooms are cleaned daily.

For guests seeking the ultimate relaxation experience, the terrace and pool are a calming refuge where being busy doing nothing is the order of the day, other than perhaps an occasional trip to the honesty bar for a cooling drink.

For those who want to get around, Es Trenc, Palma, Cala d'Or and the whole island of Mallorca beckon, with activities like walking, horse-riding, swimming, sailing, bird watching and golf for those so inclined.

Guests have a choice of eating out in one of the many local restaurants or "eating in" making use of the ample kitchen in their own apartment, or the barbecue, and if you're making yourself a picnic lunch the hotel can provide a coolbox and knapsack to take to the beach.

Restaurant:

Continental breakfast is served on the terrace in the summer and indoors on cooler days. There is freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee, pastries and breads with home made marmalade, fresh fruit salads and local cheeses. For dinners, there are a number of local restaurants to tickle the palate.

Cancellations:

Cancellation must be received in writing (fax or e-mail) at least 30 days before the scheduled arrival, in which case the deposit is refundable. If the booking is cancelled between 7 and 30 days before arrival, 50% of the full cost will be charged. If the booking is cancelled within 7 days, the full value of the booking will be charged.
