Finca Son Fogueró offers the degree of individual service that can only be achieved when there are so few guests and rooms. There are just five rooms; suites endowed with their own lounge, bathroom and terrace. The unique work of a talented interior designer has turned each room into a romantic haven, blessed with style and elegance as well as modern conveniences like satellite television and a CD player. There is striking modern art by the celebrated artist Pere Alemany, standing alongside antique furniture and natural stone walls under raftered ceilings. There are even hand-made Mallorcan rugs, locally woven over one hundred years ago.

The gardens and terraces surrounding Finca Son Fogueró are relaxing and commodious, with the small of citrus fruit and jasmine in the air. A holiday here brings you all the time in the world to soak up the sun and the beauty of the place, then to gently cool off in the swimming pool. When you need a drink, there is an honesty bar on hand.

Pere Alemany, who has owned the finca with his wife for many years, has his studio at Son Fogueró, and what you see reflects so much of his style and touch, from the interiors to the sculptures in the garden. The staff are local, and take a pride in their hotel and the care they give to their guests.

It comes as no surprise to find that the fine arts feature highly at Finca Son Foguero. Pere Alemany is an artist of the Pelaires gallery, probably the most famous in Mallorca while Pere and María-Antonia's son is a sculptor with a worldwide reputation. This is a hideaway, not just for artists, but for all those who love and appreciate art.

Restaurant:

Breakfasts at Son Fogueró include a delicious array of breads, preserves, cereals, cheeses, organic eggs from the finca's own hens, fruit juices, fresh fruit and just about anything else the guest might care to request. At night the intimate dining room offers a delicious range of organic meat and vegetables and sea-fresh fish from the surrounding waters, all prepared in the Mallorcan style. Just like breakfast, the cuisine will be adapted to suit the tastes of the guests, an especially helpful facility for vegetarians.

The cellar of Son Fogueró offers many local wines as well as reds from Ribera del Duero and Rioja, and white wine made from the finca's own vines.
